Common questions
Do I need to be 1099 to use it?
No — Quag handles any mix of classifications. W-2 shift work, 1099 freelance, cash, platform-driver, anything. The dashboard adapts: if you only have W-2 income, you won't see quarterly-tax tooling; if you only have clients, you won't see the decision-on-the-spot widget. Pick what's relevant to you.
Can I track W-2 hours?
Yes. Add an Employer source and log shifts (CSV import is live now; pay-stub PDF parsing is coming soon), and it joins the unified ledger. Quag won't try to compute quarterly estimates on W-2 income because your employer already withholds.
Does invoicing handle ACH or card payments?
V1 is invoice generation + email delivery. Payment processing happens on whatever rails you already use — Venmo, Zelle, Stripe link, ACH on your bank, paper check — paste your payment instructions into the invoice notes and your client follows them. Card-on-invoice processing comes in V2.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel in one click from your account page — your data stays accessible on the free tier as a read-only archive (last 30 days visible).
Is my data private?
Yes. Your shifts, invoices, and computed metrics live in your account only. Community benchmarks are anonymized and aggregated — nothing leaves your account tied to your identity. We never sell data.
